Counseling Services

  • We provide individual psychotherapy to adults of all ages who reside in Louisiana.
  • Individual therapy is a place where you can freely talk about what’s on your mind without worrying about being judged. Together with your therapist, you figure out how to deal with tough emotions, improve relationships, or address past or present issues that may cause distress in your life. You learn new coping skills and strategies to help you feel better. It’s all about giving your mind the care it needs, just as you would for your physical body.

Areas of Focus

  • Challenging Life TransitionsDifficulties with adjusting to significant life changes, such as the loss of a relationship, retiring, considering a career change, moving into adulthood, or empty nesting.
  • AnxietyFeeling tensed or on edge, consumed with constant worrying, fear, and/or anxious feelings that become overwhelming and negatively impact your day-to-day life.
  • Coping SkillsDeveloping strategies to manage and cope with overwhelming feelings, stressful situations, and life challenges in a healthy way
  • Stress ManagementDiscovering ways to deal with life’s mental and emotional pressures to help remain at ease with stress.
  • Low Self-Esteem/Low ConfidenceStruggling with feelings/thoughts of not being good enough, undeserving, unworthy, unlovable, and incapable in comparison to others, and the belief in these thoughts holds you back in life.
  • ADHDLearning strategies and techniques, such as breaking down goals into management tasks, time management, and organization skills to help reach goals.

Teletherapy

Reynolds Counseling and Wellness Services, LLC offers teletherapy, which means we can provide counseling services online through video calls or phone. We use a secure platform called SimplePractice that meets HIPAA standards.

Teletherapy is super convenient, flexible, and eliminates commute time. Butit might not be suitable if you do not have a private space or are uncomfortable using technology. Also, providing treatment through teletherapy may not be best for those experiencing an emergency or crisis (e.g., suicidal, extreme distress).
